2012 Los Angeles City “KINGDOM DAY PARADE” Monday, January 16, 2012
Monday, January 16, 2012 – Pit Bull Energy Products, in conjunction with KLJH-FM Radio is one of this year’s proud sponsors. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Kingdom Day Parade has been celebrated for the last 24 years, with over a million people taking to the streets of Los Angeles to remember the life and works of one of this country’s greatest heroes.
The 2012 parade commences on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, travels south on Crenshaw and concludes at Leimert Park. The parade includes hundreds of floats, drill teams, dance groups, celebrities, business and political leaders and some of the best marching bands in the country.
At the conclusion of the Kingdom Day Parade, Radio-Free KJLH joins forces with Los Angeles City Councilmember Bernard Parks with a live broadcast to present the King-Fest street festival. It attracts thousands of people to enjoy two stages of musical performances, exhibit booths, and a full day of activities for the entire family! KJLH will commemorate the legacy of Dr. King with our annual cake cutting! Join us in the King Holiday Celebration.
